It's an Aerobics Day, and I want to get accustomed to running for the Race, so I went out for a run/walk again. Instead of wandering around the subdivision, I took a well-defined route that followed major roads.
Eri measured the route by car later, and I managed to go a little over 2 miles today in 30 minutes. I'm planning to run a 5K in May, and I hope to get Nathan to run with me. The last time, I walked a 5K in 47 minutes. This time, I'll be more than 10 pounds lighter and considerably more fit. I intend to run more, and I therefore expect to come out closer to the middle than the end.
I just used Google Maps to verify the distance. A 5K is 3.1 miles; I'm planning a course around the neighborhood that covers that distance. I expect to work up to running that route every other day.
I was much steadier on the weight measurement today, and my Wii Fit age was 29.
Now I just need to get some running shoes!
