A while back, I asked how sick do you need to be before you should stop exercising? This sick.
On Saturday, I felt energetic, but my stomach felt tight and full, and I had a slight fever. I tried to do my workout (arms and abs), but I could get past the push-ups: I was just sweating and gasping for breath. So I stopped.
I took a nap, then threw up.
I felt much better, until the headaches came on... with ferocity. The fever was making me pretty uncomfortable, too. I got lots of sleep, and failed in my attempts to drink lots of water.
Sunday I ate very little, didn't work out at all, and succeeded in drinking plenty of water. I finished the day with three bowls of won ton soup, which set my tummy grumbling.
Today, Eri refused to let me work out, considering that I didn't have the energy because I hadn't eaten anything yesterday. The Bloodmobile thought I should avoid giving blood for my own safety, too, so I guess maybe she was right.
I'm feeling much better, so tomorrow I intend to get back on the ball. According to one of my friends (who's reading a book about this stuff), I can expect to resume at the same level as long as I've taken less than a week off.
